Welcome to 25 Johnson street, in Picton, a refreshing pause on your trip. This house is our little piece of paradise. We are artists living in Prince Edward County and are fully in love with the landscape, the people, the art and the food!
The suite is full of good vibes and beautiful light. The bedroom has a Queen sized bed with French linens, a large screen TV with Chromecast and a DVD player.
The eating area offers a table and chairs, microwave, mini fridge, kettle, Bodum coffee maker, dish sets.
We provide breakfast that you can choose in advance from a small menu, that includes dairy, vegan, and gluten free options. We leave it in the small fridge in your room, once we establish your dietary restrictions and preferences.
Your private 4 piece bathroom provides lovely soaps and shampoos, Turkish towels and a hairdryer. The glass sliding door opens on a private deck overlooking the yard, as well as your own entrance to the suite.
The suite is quiet, situated at the back of our house, and with double doors to our side, for sound insulation. We live in the rest of the house, and you may see us in the yard as we access our bike shed and the art studio in the wooden coach house. You’re welcome to visit the art studio and gallery showing Julie’s paintings and others.
The house is between two very quiet neighbours. Your suite and deck are very private, the orientation, fences and trees ensure no one will see you. After 10 pm please keep outdoor noise to a minimum to respect our neighbourhood.
The suite is not suitable for pets or children as much as we love them, but we welcome infants if you have a crib for them.
We are a 5 min walk to Picton Main street, full of shops and restaurants, an 18 min drive to Sandbanks park and beaches, and a short driving distance to various wineries and other attractions. When on the roads of the county, do listen to 99.3 County FM. It has a surprisingly diverse musical programming, as well as local news and events.
We are very involved in the art community and will happily guide you towards any events that we are aware of. We also have a pass for Sandbanks beach which we will happily share. During your stay we are available by text or phone, should you have any questions, and will do our best to make your stay restful, easy and fun.
